What a great question! When you come in for your consultation at Geller Orthodontics, we will conduct a comprehensive examination to assess your oral health. This will better enable us to determine the best treatment method for you. Then, at your next appointment, Dr. Geller will discuss your orthodontic options with you.

Our staff feels it’s important to take the time to carefully examine your diagnostic records after your consultation so that Dr. Geller and our team can more thoroughly prepare for your treatment. You may not know it, but eight years ago, Tom Cruise - yes, THE Tom Cruise - had braces. At the time, Cruise was 40 years old and filmed Minority Report, Austin Powers in Goldmember and the Last Samurai. Just check out his smile in Jerry Maguire, Rain Man or The Firm and compare to the post-braces Tom Cruise dazzling smile in Valkyrie or Tropic Thunder. This spring, play it safe! From Geller Orthodontics

You may remember that back in February, our staff blogged about the importance of wearing a mouth guard when playing sports. Well, as it happens, April is National Facial Protection Month, and a great time to remind our patients about the importance of protecting their pearly whites. After all, nearly 60,000 people injure their faces annually while participating in sports activities, and teenagers account for 80 percent of all sports-related trips to the emergency room.
